A huge crowd supported the Special Olympics NJ Polar Plunge on Saturday. The event raised around $400,000 and brought out 1,088 plungers. The amount raised broke the events previous record in Wildwood. The plunge itself was held on the beach behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. Despite being a polar plunge, the weather was pretty good for the event. Temperatures were in the mid 40’s for the event, which helped draw a solid walk up crowd the day of.
