HUGE BEACH-REPLENISHMENT PROJECT COMING TO LOWER CAPE MAY COUNTY

This fall the beaches of Lower Cape May County will be getting a major make-over. The Army Corps of Engineers has announced plans for a $9 million beach-replenishment project for Cape May Point, Cape May and Lower Township. This project will import over 300,000 cubic yards of sand from an area five miles offshore. Bids for the project will be advertised on July 17th, with a starting date expected in October or November.
