HOUSING UNITS MADE AVAILABLE FOR SANDY VICTIMS

On Monday the Christie administration announced plans for temporary and permanent housing for residents displaced by Hurricane Sandy. The state will renovate existing housing units at the former Army post Fort Monmouth, and also install temporary units. Up to 375 units on the base will be turned into permanent housing, to assist more than 9,500 state residents who are still in need. Most of those residents come from Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex Counties.
