HOOPS: PASCUCCI GETS 1000, DIPATRI 300, SPIRT CLINCHES TITLE

It was a night of milestones Monday night in local Cape Atlantic League basketball action. Lower Cape May senior Brandon Pascucci scored his 1,000th career point in the second quarter as Lower Cape May thumped Mainland Monday night, 62-44. Ernie Harper had 25 points for the Caper Tigers. Sacred Heart girls basketball coach Steve DiPatri hit the 300 win mark for his career as his team beat Bridgeton, 70-30. And the Holy Spirit boys basketball team clinched the Cape Atlantic League National Conference title by defeating Pleasantville, 56-53. That win by Spirit eliminates Middle Township from capturing a share of the conference title.
