A hit and run took place in Hamilton Township on Wednesday. Police there say the incident took place around 10:12 p.m. in the area of Route 40 and Hamilton Commons Drive. Upon arrival, officers spoke with one of the drivers, John Weber 4th (19/M), from Mays Landing. Weber was operating a motorcycle when he was rear-ended by an unknown vehicle, possibly a light colored sedan, which fled the scene. Weber was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The sedan continued driving east bound on Rt. 40, with the motorcycle still attached to the front of the vehicle. The motorcycle was later recovered on McKee Ave, in the area of Club House Lane, however the suspect vehicle was not located. The vehicle is described as a light colored sedan, possibly gold or white, and should have severe front end damage. Weber was transported to AtlantiCare (Mainland Division) for treatment of his injuries. Also assisting were the Twp. Of Hamilton Rescue Squad and the Egg Harbor Twp. Police Department.
