Now that property tax cap legislation is signed into law, Gov. Chris Christie’s tool kit is up next. North Wildwood Mayor Bill Henfey told Coastal Broadcasting that opting out of civil service would be a good idea for towns. Henfey said it was a good idea when it was enacted, but now it is hampering town’s ability to stay financially responsible. The legislature is going to look at a 33-bill package proposed by Christie to address local municipalities concerns.
