Lower Township filled a vacancy on its council on Monday night. Republican Jackie Henderson was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Glenn Douglass from the Ward 3 Council seat at last night’s Lower Township Council meeting. Henderson was chosen from one of three names sent over from the Lower Township Republican organization. The Lower GOP however has endorsed Erik Simonsen in the election to formally fill the vacancy left when Glenn Douglass had to step down in order to retire from his state job.
