Senate lawmakers continued to question the transfer of NJN to WNET out of New York. A six hour hearing was held on Thursday, which followed a hearing in the Assembly earlier in the month. Lawmakers have until the end of the month to potentially veto the measure; however, State Treasure Andrew Eristoff said there was no money in the budget for it to continue and the channel would go dark. WNET is going to continue to operate the station with a nightly news program, but would significantly trim the staff size down to about 20 people.
