Gov. Chris Christie is not going to negotiate health care costs with public employee unions. Christie said the changes he wants made to the system are going to be enacted through the legislature. The governor is pushing a proposal to have public workers kick in 30 percent of their premium cost, currently they pay 1.5 percent of their salary. Union officials say they are determined to get it back on the table since they believe it should be discussed through the collective bargaining process.
