HAMILTON TWP. SCHOOLS ON LOCK DOWN DURING SEARCH FOR GUNMAN

Four schools in Hamilton Township were on lock down on Monday for about half an hour until 1 p.m. Police were responding to reports of an armed man in the area. A 22 year-old man was found unarmed in a Walmart Shopping Center in Mays Landing, and taken to crisis intervention for evaluation. Atlantic Cape Community College, Oakcrest High School, The George L. Hess Elementary School and the William Davies Middle School were all in lock down until the reported gunman was captured.
