The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority says the summer was a good one. The unofficial numbers are in and there was a six percent increase year-over-year in tourism to the Wildwood island. They also say that there is about a three percent increase over the five year average. Numbers will become official in the next week, but don’t usually tend to shift too much in that span. GWTIDA credits their marketing campaign “Are you free this summer?” and the good weather as the major reasons for the traffic to the Wildwoods.
