It was a first step to finding a permanent substitute. Cape May County Freeholders voted on Tuesday night to hire former County Treasurer Ed Grant, Jr. as the interim administrator. Freeholder Director Gerry Thornton told Coastal Broadcasting that Grant will help the government run on a day-to-day bases until a full-time replacement can be found for Steve O’Connor, the previous administrator. Grant will also assist with the picking of the next administrator.
