A new poll released Thursday morning says Governor Christie’s job approval rating has dropped, along with optimism for New Jersey’s economy. The latest Farleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll shows that 47 percent disapproved of Christie’s performance, the lowest rating in seven months. Optimism about the state’s economy dropped three percentage points to 37 percent. Pollsters pointed to several contributing factors, including pension fund shortfalls, disrepair of roads and bridges, and continual downgrades in the state’s bond ratings.
