Some good news for the New Jersey economy. In December the Garden State added more than 30,000 new jobs in the private sector. That’s the biggest one month jump in jobs in New Jersey since the state began keeping track of new jobs back in 1990. The state’s unemployment rate dipped slightly to 9.6 percent. Some of the new jobs were created thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Still, the numbers represent the best job growth in New Jersey in more than a decade.
