GONE: PORT AUTHORITY DIRECTOR BILL BARONI QUITS AMID CONTROVERSY

The Executive Director of the New York/New Jersey Port Authority is a goner.  Bill Baroni stepped down from the top post at the authority.  Governor Chris Christie made the announcement that Baroni quit after a very public dispute in North Jersey over lane closures on the George Washington Bridge.  Some believe Baroni ordered the lanes closed to clog up traffic in Fort Lee, New Jersey after the mayor of that community would not support Christie in his recent re-election bid.
