The trial of Scott Golden continued with a police officer that responded to the scene of the crash explaining what he saw. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Middle Township police Officer John Norton says he smelled burnt marijuana in the vehicle Golden was driving and inside of the ambulance he was pulled into. Golden is accused of killing Craig Lozier in 2008 when Golden lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the northbound lane of traffic and hit Lozier’s motorcycle on Route 47, around mile marker 10.2. Lozier was pronounced dead at the scene. Photos from the scene were shown to the judge as well, including tire marks.
