GOLD MEDAL RUNNER RUNNING FOR OFFICE IN NEW JERSEY

The New Jersey Senate could have a gold medalist in its ranks. Carl Lewis announced his intentions to run in the 8th legislative district this November. The nine-time winner will run as a Democrat. Lewis grew up in the Garden State and went to high school at Willingboro High School. Monday was the deadline for petitions to be handed in to run in the primary elections of June.
