GLENN DOUGLASS STEPS DOWN IN LOWER TOWNSHIP

Lower Township will be having an election this November. Third district councilman Glenn Douglass is retiring and will open a vacancy on the board. Douglass noted a state law that prohibits someone from holding public office while collecting from the public employee pension system. Douglass works for the state department of corrections and will be retiring from that position. Sept. 12 is the deadline for new candidates to file.
