GIRL WHO SUED TO PLAYS BOYS BASKETBALL KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL

A seventh grade girl who wanted to play on the boys basketball team at her Catholic middle school has been kicked out.  12 year old Sydney Phillips received a letter from St. Theresa’s School in Kenilworth that she and her sister Kaitlyn should not return to school the following morning or thereafter.  Her family unsuccessfully sued for Sydney’s right to play on the boys basketball team after the girls team was discontinued.
