Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian is calling for a vote in January on a proposal to regulate live performers on the boardwalk. Council approved the first reading of a new ordinance that sets locations for the performers and subjects them to city permits. Gillian says more discussion is needed, and wants the second reading of the ordinance put off until next month.
