Gas prices actually slipped a little bit in New Jersey last week. A new gasoline price survey by Mid Atlantic AAA shows that the average price for a gallon of gasoline in New Jersey is $2.27, which is two cents cheaper than last week. This ends a five week span of seeing gas prices going up in the Garden State. Last year, motorists were paying about $1.12 per gallon more for gasoline at the pumps.
