Gas prices are remaining steady locally but many are wondering how much longer it will last. Local gas prices are at $1.54 per gallon versus $1.53 a week ago. The area continues to do much better than a year ago when it checked in at $2.26 per gallon. This is the time of year when prices start to rise overall heading into the summer. Analysts believe prices will stay below the peak of $2.80 per gallon last year.
