You probably have noticed that gas prices continue to climb. As of Monday morning, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey reached $3.60. Triple A Mid-Atlantic announced that average retail prices for gasoline are 10 cents higher than last week, marking the seventh straight week of increases. The 17 cent increase in gas prices in July was the largest ever for that month. Analysts say the increases are due in part to the rising price of corn, which is used to make ethanol, one of the ingredients in gas.
