Gasoline prices continue to inch up here in Cape May County. According to the latest gas price survey conducted by Mid Atlantic AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in this county is now $2.94. That is right in line with the state average, and four cents a gallon cheaper than the national average. One year ago, local motorists were paying only $2.46 for a gallon of gas. Despite gasoline prices going up, AAA believes that holiday travel will increase by 3.1 percent this year.
