GAS DEAL ADVANCES, LIKELY WON’T GET BY GOVERNOR

A key Senate committee approved the latest gasoline tax proposal, but it’s unlikely to get support from Governor Christie.  The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee on Friday approved a new 23-cent gas tax proposal that provides tax breaks to seniors, veterans, and the poor.  However, Christie will unlikely sign the bill which would continue the suspension of key transportation projects throughout the Garden State.
