The second gaming summit was held in the Meadowlands on Friday. A number of Democratic lawmakers were in attendance, including State Senator Jeff Van Drew and Assemblyman Matt Milam. Many from the north are pushing for a casino to be placed at the Meadowlands. Van Drew continued to fight for Atlantic City, and said the whole South Jersey region is dependent on Atlantic City’s survival. Representatives from the horse racing industry were there in an attempt to try and save the racetrack, which may be closed as a part of a number of proposed state moves.
