A family was displaced from their Galloway Township home on Saturday by an explosion in the basement of their home on the 600 block of Duerer Street. NBC-40 reports that local officials confirm that a heating unit in the basement caused the explosion just before 3 p.m. on Saturday. Five family members were inside the house but miraculously none were seriously injured, even though the house was blown off of its foundation and sustained serious structural damage. An eight-week-old was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
