A new traffic light that hasn’t been activated on Route 47 will be turned on shortly. Senator Jeff Van Drew announced that the traffic light will be activated at Fulling Mill Rd. and Route 47 by mid July. Some underground work needs to be done and the project will be completed with the light being turned on in mid July. Last week Van Drew and Assemblyman Sgt Andrzejczak sent a letter to the DOT commissioner requesting the light at Fulling Mill Rd /Rt47 be completed and activated– he also requested that the DOT evaluate and expedite the placement of rumble strips, additional traffic lights, additional no passing zones, the straightening of curves in the road as well as speed limitations to help eliminate the hazards on Route 47.
