Legislation sponsored by Senator Jeff Van Drew to reinvest dollars back into the UEZ zones got approval in the full Senate. The proposal calls for a 30 percent reinvestment back into the zone of dollars generated, with 70 percent remaining with the state. For the past few years, Gov. Chris Christie had taken all of the money to balance the state’s budget. The measure has also received approval from the full Assembly and now heads to Gov. Chris Christie’s desk for consideration.
