There is some very heavy traffic reported already on southbound highways leading to the Jersey Shore. State Police confirm that traffic is slow on Route 47 and 347 southbound as motorists escape to the beaches. As of Friday at 1:00pm, heavy traffic was reported on Route 52 near Ocean City and at the very southern end of the Garden State Parkway, near Cape May.
