FREEHOLDERS: THORNTON, SHEPPARD WIN EASY

Republicans continue to have a 5-0 majority on the Cape May County Board of Freeholders.  Republicans Gerry Thornton and Sue Sheppard easily defeated two democratic candidates to win the election on Tuesday night.  Sheppard is from Ocean City, and this will be her first term on the freeholder board.  Next up:  The freeholders must decide who will be the director and vice-director.  Dan Beyel is currently the freeholder director.
