Middle Township will be providing free vaccinations to protect cats and dogs from rabies. The rabies clinics will be available for pets whose owners live in the township and the vaccination is a requirement for pets in the municipality. The first clinic is scheduled for February 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Public Works Building at 400 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. Additional clinics will be held at the building on May 6 and November 4 at similar hours. The township expects approximately 70 dogs and 20 cats to receive vaccines during the event. Rabies was recently discovered in a skunk that came in contact with a family dog, the dog had to be quarantined for 45 days because it’s rabies shots were not up-to-date.
