An investigation is on-going into a man who pretended to be a Middle Township Police officer on the telephone to a Lower Township business. The officer claimed he needed credit card numbers and account names from the day prior as he was investigating a large credit scam. The manager put the caller on hold and checked with the Middle Township Police that no one worked at the department by that name and did not give out any of the sensitive information. An investigation has not yet yielded an arrest.
