Pretty much anywhere you were in South Jersey, you were close to fireworks Thursday night. 987 The Coast had a live broadcast during the Avalon fireworks, among other communities who celebrated the holiday. There was plenty of live music as well, including a Jimmy Buffett tribute band that played Fox Park in Wildwood. Weather was perfect and should continue throughout the weekend. Tourism officials reported strong crowds in all of the shore communities. June was one of the rainiest in history and the warm sun was welcome by business owners.
