The Republicans will be facing a contested ticket this November. Despite no Democrats running, there are four independents running for three seats in the township. The slate of three candidates include James Neville in the second ward who is running for reelection and Glenn Douglass in the third ward who has served on council for a number of years and is trying to get back. The ticket also includes Johnnie Walker in the first ward. The Republican are running Tom Conrad, David Perry, and Erik Simonsen in wards one through three respectively. The fourth independent is Joseph Will running by himself in the first ward.
