FORMER UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT AT RUTGERS PASSES AWAY

A former president at Rutgers University has passed away. Francis Lawrence was president of the university for 12 years, taking over in 1990. He was 75-years-old. The cause of death has not been released. School officials credited Lawrence with leading the school into the digital age and growing academic standards.
