A former police dispatcher in Absecon has been handed a 12 year prison sentence for killing a pedestrian in a drunk driving accident. 37 year old Richard Doherty of Galloway struck and killed a man on Tilton Road in February, 2015; the man died as a result of his injuries. Doherty was sentenced on Tuesday.
