FORMER POLICE CHIEF SUING ATLANTIC CITY

Jury selection begins on Monday for a civil lawsuit trial by a former Atlantic City police chief against the city. John Mooney claims a case of reverse discrimination after he reported inappropriate acts by the city administration. Mooney chose to retire rather than take a demotion and loss in pension. Mooney is seeking to be reinstated as police chief and wants to collect damages for the two and a half years that remained on his contract.
