North Wildwood lost one of its most significant figures for the past two decades. Former mayor Bill Henfey passed away on Tuesday at the age of 65. A malignant brain tumor was found back in Sept. 2013 which sent Henfey to the hospital. He was able to make a number of public appearances in 2014, including a retirement dinner from being mayor and the dedication of Bill Henfey Park. All of the council members and Mayor Patrick Rosenello shared their thoughts on losing Henfey during the council meeting on Tuesday morning. Henfey was a councilman-at-large from 1994 until 2006, until he was sworn in as mayor. No details have been released yet on a viewing and funeral.
