Four of the state’s previous governors have come out against a proposed pipeline that would run through the Pinelands. Govs. Brendan T. Byrne, Thomas H. Kean, James J. Florio and Christine Todd Whitman all penned a letter against the pipeline that would connect into the BL England power plant. The plan currently has the support of Gov. Chris Christie. The former governors say the plan goes against conservation efforts in the Pinelands.
