A 50 year old man who used to work at the South Woods State Prison as a corrections officer has been indicted on allegations that he repeatedly sexually abused a child. Richard Briggs of Williamstown allegedly abused the child on various dates in Hopewell Township. The assaults allegedly occurred back in 1989. Briggs has been released from jail after posting $150,000 bail.
