FORMER CORRECTIONS OFFICER FOUND GUILTY ON OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT

A corrections officer was found guilty for bringing drugs into a jail, instead of keeping them out. A guilty verdict was returned against Aikeem Williams for official misconduct and drug charges. Sentencing was set for Sept. 28. He faces the potential of 10 years in jail. The incident took place during his time working at South Woods State Prison.
