A former baseball star from South Jersey appeared in court today to face charges that he allegedly was involved in a theft at a car dealership where he worked. The Press of Atlantic City reports Monday that former Vineland High School baseball star Darren Ford, now a member of the San Francisco Giants, agreed today to enter a pre-trial intervention program. Ford was arrested back in November, 2009 and charged with two counts of theft in connection to some money that came up missing from a car dealership where he worked. With admission to the program, Ford will avoid jail time and will have no criminal record.
