A former 12-year veteran of the Atlantic City Police force has been convicted of official misconduct. Michael Jones, now 41, of Atlantic City, was arrested in 2012 for violating the terms of a live-in program to keep officers living in Atlantic City at a discounted rate. Jones subleased his apartment at the Stanley Homes Complex, which was against program rules and lived in a separate residence. Jones was officially convicted of official misconduct, theft, and tax fraud. Jones is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17.
