FOREST FIRES BEGIN IN SOUTH JERSEY

The humidity in recent days has been bone dry, and that’s fueled some forest fires throughout the state of New Jersey.  More than 150 acres burned in the Wharton State Forest in South Jersey over the weekend due to the dry conditions; other forest fires were reported in all parts of the state.  The outdoor fire season began this month thanks to dry conditions, gusty winds, and fresh new debris being dropped by trees onto the ground.
