A pair of second period of goals was enough. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the New Jersey Devils 2-1 in Newark on Wednesday night. The game was scoreless through one period, but the Flyers broke through with a Chris Pronger goal about middle of the way through the 2nd period. Mike Richards added a goal as well later in the period. Goalie Brian Boucher stopped 23 of 24 shots in the win. The series takes a break on Thursday and will resume on Friday at New Jersey.
