The Philadelphia Flyers have a chance to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight. The Flyers travel to New Jersey with a 3 to 1 games lead. If they win, they will do it without two of their best players. Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne will both miss the game tonight.
Carter took a shot off his right foot and is going to get surgery to repair a fracture. He is going to be sidelined for six weeks, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Gagne also suffered from a fractured right foot and is going to be out at least three weeks.
Tonight’s game is at 7 p.m.
