Two former political opponents in New Jersey both want the environment to be a top priority in the next gubernatorial election. Republican Christie Whitman and democrat Jim Florio are calling on candidates on both sides of the aisle to talk about the environment this year. They have jointly created a new fund that will pump at least $750,000 into the election this year to make sure environmental issues are represented.
