A vote to delay the hikes to flood insurance across the country will take place later this month. Officials say the week of Feb. 24 a vote is scheduled in the House of Representatives on the issue. The U.S. Senate has already passed a measure that would ensure a delay takes place. Lawmakers from New Jersey have been lobbying hard, considering Hurricane Sandy and changes to flood zones, on top of this change would cripple many. Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced the vote via a press release on Wednesday.
