FIVE CENT INCREASE IN GAS PRICES OVER PAST WEEK

With Memorial Day a few weeks away, gas prices are on the rise. A five-cent increase took place in the past week in Cape May County, according to a new data released by AAA Mid-Atlantic. The average price at the pump is $2.79 in the county. The national average of $2.92, is the highest price seen since Oct. 2008. The auto group says the switch over to the summer blend of gasoline is the biggest reason for the rise at the pump.
